【圖片、視頻來源：Louis紐約影視工作室 中國僑聲文化傳媒記者紐約報導】The 17th annual Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Awards Dinner Gala held on June 20th, 2018 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York. The top award is the Pinnacle Award, which is presented to individuals who have reached the peak of their professional career and are widely acknowledged as leaders in their industry. In addition, 50 talented individuals will each receive an Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award.
One of the 2018 Outstanding Awardees David Fu and his wife established the Fu Generation Foundation in 2007, with a mission to assist the elderly and youth. He was inspired by meeting Walter Kaner, chairman of the Walter Kaner Children’s Foundation whose mission was to assist economically and physically disadvantaged children. The relationship with the journalist and philanthropist drew Mr. Fu and his wife to devote their lives to a charitable cause.
Previously, Mr. Fu operated his own Chinese restaurant in Queens, New York, which was opened in 1982 after working for years as a restaurant busboy and learning English and management skills. Mr. Fu had arrived in theUS. In 1969 to join his father who had immigrated from Zhejiang, a south eastern province of China, where Mr. Fu was born. Besides running the restaurant, Mr. Fu also invested in real estate, achieving success after decades of hard work and dedication.
