【资料来源：Elaine Du，eStar TV第一直播，中国侨声直播】最近很多跑步爱好者都在关注的开年极限马拉松—2023年777挑战赛（7天7大洲7个马拉松），于在2月7日落下帷幕。来自纽约大学的00后女摄影师Elaine Du挑战成功，完成了半程马拉松组的全部7场比赛。并刷新该项赛事历史上的女子完赛者最小年龄记录。
Elaine Du目前尚还是NYU Tisch的一名3年级学生。早在2015年时，她做为国际志愿者挑战北极圈北极熊杯半程马拉松成功完赛；2018年挑战南极白色大陆马拉松——乔治王岛马拉松半程组，以优异表现完赛获得该组第二名。据悉，2015至今她已经完成半程马拉松二十余个。这些年一直不间断地与父亲共同参与公益跑团的“里程兑换”公益捐助活动，坚持为贫困地区学校募集体育教育的器材资金和图书馆书籍。2019年在北京举办了首场个人公益影展，这份爱心为贫困山区学校的孩子们募集到1.2万美元。
关于2023年第七届777WMC
2023年1月31日至2月7日凌晨，共集结了来自美国、德国、加拿大、蒙古、土耳其、瑞士、卢森堡、开曼群岛、英国、爱尔兰、新加坡等国的50余名极限挑战者。
他们凭借个体的持久耐力和集体的相互协作，7天时间里，在7大洲的土地上完成了7场42.195公里的全程马拉松比赛。(其中9人参加半程马拉松）
首场挑战赛当地时间1月31日早上8:40正式鸣枪起跑
本届777挑战赛中年龄最小的才13岁（半马），而最大年龄高达80岁。其中还包括四对母女、母子、父女。尤其令人感动的还有本届的两位轮椅挑战者。
40余位全马挑战者——7天×24小时，7场全马总跑量超过295公里，短时间内体感温差接近50℃。不仅如此，还得在50多个小时、4万余公里的空中飞行中进行赛间调整，依靠强大身心去适应反反复复的时差反应。身体与精神，都在经历最严苛的挑战，还有与意志的较量。所有挑战者在每站间隔的10小时飞行时间段内，必须完成身体恢复以及相关准备去迎接下一场挑战。

本届7天7大洲7马（777）的首场挑战赛从南极的诺沃基地（当地时间1月31日早上8:40）正式鸣枪起跑。
随后，所有选手前往南非开普敦，进行非洲大陆的赛段。
此后，在澳洲澳大利亚珀斯进行了第三场赛事；
在亚洲阿联酋迪拜进行了第四场赛事；
在欧洲西班牙马德里进行了第五场赛事；
在南美洲巴西福塔雷萨进行了第六场赛事；
在北美洲美国迈阿密进行了777的收官赛事。
关于777（WMC)
777是世界马拉松爱好者对世界马拉松挑战赛（World Marathon Challenge）的别称，即连续7天（168小时）在7大洲跑7个马拉松。
777的首站从南极大陆开始。南极站鸣枪之后，不停表，挑战者必须在168个小时之内，在7大洲完成7场马拉松，挑战才算成功。
世界马拉松挑战赛创立于2015年，直到2020年止，已连续成功举办6届，共有181人次参赛。男子净成绩记录由美国跑者Michael Wardian保持，7站平均成绩2:45:57， 平均成绩的女子记录由丹麦的Kristina Schou Madsen保持，平均成绩3:25:57。
2021年及2022年，受新冠疫情大流行的影响，赛事被迫停办。2023年，赛事重启，第七届777于2023年2月7 日清晨在美国迈阿密圆满落幕。
The World Marathon Challenge is a logistical and physical challenge to run seven marathons on seven continents in seven days.

The World Marathon Challenge 
is the only annual event that offers the opportunity to run 7 marathons on 7 continents in 7 days.
The first marathon occurs within the Antarctic Circle on mainland Antarctica and the final marathon takes place in Miami, North America.
The global route is Novo (Antarctica), Cape Town (Africa), Perth (Australia), Dubai (Asia), Madrid (Europe), Fortaleza (South America) and Miami (North America)
After the initial marathon in Antarctica, competitors fly by charter plane to every marathon location around the globe.
Successful participants are recognized by the Intercontinental Marathon Club , which provides the definitive list of people who have run 7 marathons on 7 continents within 7 days.
There is a competition element within the trip – the fastest combined marathon times, or average marathon time, for male and female categories are declared the outright winners of the overall challenge.
There will also be a team competition in the 2023 World Marathon Challenge. The fastest combined marathon times of the top three team scorers, who finish all seven marathons, will be declared the winners.
Teams can be composed of more than three people but must have both male and female runners amongst their scoring three. As part of a team you are also included in the individual competition.
Participants run 295 km (183 miles) over the seven-day period and spend about 68 hours in the air.
The Book of Alternative Records recognises the event for world record purposes, including fastest average marathon times for 7 marathons on 7 continents in 7 days and shortest duration to run 7 marathons on 7 continents.
The Guinness Book of Records also acknowledges the event for record setting purposes.
